The bane of Jamaat e Islami. Their self-righteous attitude is pathetic. These goons must have offered congregational prayers in the mosque after beating up this boy near death and met their Jamaat leader for a meeting with his tacit approval of this act.
Certain points have to be presented for 'Travellers in the Quest for Truth'. Why I say 'Travellers in the Quest for Truth' is because God too, only addresses people who employ their intellect in matters of deciphering truth from falsehood. Indeed, God's Qur'an is replete with only one human condition to understand His word - that is to employ one's intellect ONLY, not emotions!
Hence, my points are ONLY for those whom God says in His Qur'an:
"People who use their intellect,
People who do deep pondering,
People with insight,
People who see beyond what their eyes see,
People who follow their conscience,
People who yearn for the truth rising above their religion of birth,
People who yearn for the truth rising above all kinds of prejudice,
People who spurn their family and tribal affiliations to yearn for the truth,
People who endeavour to look at the correct perspective of things,
People who relish reasoning based on plain truth,
People who do not hold onto false expectations,
People who when come across truth, of which their heart vouches, then, do not spurn the truth but step forward and embrace it,
People who do not follow their lust blindly, people who do not follow a religious scholar blindly,
People who do not follow any school of thought blindly,
People who question albeit their questions are purposeful,
People who are not arrogant,
People who do not consider themselves self-righteous,
People who do not remark on other person's feelings knowing ONLY God knows what is in the other person's heart,
People who do not play God".
Let me present my points which are addressed to people with the above attributes:
1). Who has given this mandate to people in judging who is correct and who is not?
2). Who has this ability to tell what is controversial and what is not? Is it on hearsay? If so, then he or she is guilty of prejudice. If not, then please answer this question.
3). A Scholar is a human being. Human interpretations are subject to errors. Following a scholar blindly is an abrogation of one's human intellect. Blind following is rejected by God in all its manifestations. Qur'an negates this concept with full vigour through sound reasoning. Why are then, a group of people or different groups following their scholars blindly?
Let me present my points which are addressed to people with the above attributes:

5). This Jamaat e Islami and their crony Jamiat in the Universities across Pakistan are up to their necks in portraying themselves as being self-righteous. Who has given them this mandate to tell people what is right and what is wrong? Who has extended them this authority to interfere in people's lives and tell them the truth?
6) This (forceful) coercion by them in the garb of being polite is like 'playing God'. Who has extended the Jamaat e Islami and their crony Jamiat in the Universities around Pakistan to play God?
7). Apart from God's apostles, whom God appointed Himself, no one can be granted the status of an apostle of God. Since apostles are God's direct appointees, hence, they are Divinely driven. Rest all are human beings and their interpretations are subject to reasonings. Who has imparted the status of an apostle to the Jamaat e Islami and the University to tell people what is right from wrong and bar books of any kind?
Read. Read every Scholar's book. Accept or reject based on sound reasoning.
God, says in His Glorious Qur'an (16:125): "Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a best way. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided".
Please do not play God. Let the youth of our country read every piece of literature. Let the youth of our country decide for themselves.
I assure the youth shall never go astray as long as they follow their conscience.
