Pakistan Day celebrations in our home.
Dadi also narrated her eyewitness account of those harrowing days when Muslims crossed borders to their new homeland losing their loved ones in the process. I used to ask her to narrate the same stories again and again for the youth of Pakistan so that they cherish Independence. Independence was not given to us on a silver platter.
The book حق کی تلاش کا مُسافر mentions such functions held in our home for the youth.
