The Bane of Cheating
Cheating is a big issue. As a nation and as Muslims, we do not pay much heed to this aspect of our lives. It is rampant in all spheres of our lives, from the highest echelons of power corridors to the local population.
Every five years the people of Pakistan raise hue and cry on pre-poll rigging or rigged elections. All State institutions are involved in cheating. As a result, the voice of the real stakeholders of Pakistan, the 22-crore people, is snubbed.
The seeds of cheating are sown much earlier at our school, college,
and university levels. At our level, we give two hoots to traffic laws, or
standing in queues waiting for our turn and what have you. Human morality and
God's "Reminder" (the Qur’an) gives a clarion call on all facets of
cheating in only three words: “Weight (of deeds) - that day (Hereafter) - shall
ONLY be the TRUTH”! Refer to the first three words of the Qur’an Chapter 7,
Verse 8: Qur’an (7:8).
