God abhors blindness in matters of religion. He insists on
using one's intellect. The Qur'an testifies:
"And it is not for a soul to believe except by
permission of Allah, and He will place defilement upon those who will not use
reason." Qur'an (10:100)
"Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of
Allah are the deaf and dumb who do not use reason." Qur'an (8:22)
"[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded." Qur'an (38:29)
There appears no room for blind following in religion. God
stands contrary to this attitude. Is anyone out there to read His Divine Scripture Qur'an by
employing one's intellect? I assure you of a glorious, all-enveloping,
all-encompassing journey.
